Why study this at NIMB

Taught by practising CAs

Courses are run by experienced chartered accountants rather than by general trainers.

Practical, job-oriented training

Hands-on work in Tally Prime, BUSY and live return filing, not theory alone.

Fee in instalments

Monthly instalments and an education loan facility are available.

Recognised certification

A government-registered institute awarding an industry-recognised diploma certificate.

Before you enrol

Bring proof of your highest qualification when you come to enrol. There is no entrance examination — admission is a conversation about which course fits what you want to do.

If you are deciding between two courses, say so when you call. It is a more useful conversation than reading two pages side by side.

Who teaches this course

CA Meenakshi Rao

Frequently asked questions

How long is the Diploma in Financial Accounting?

The course runs for 12 months.

What is the fee for the DFA course?

The fee is ₹50,000. Monthly instalments are available, and there is an education loan facility — ask about both when you enrol.

Can I join without a commerce background?

Yes. The course is open after 12th or after B.Com graduation, and students from both commerce and non-commerce backgrounds are accepted. It starts from fundamentals rather than assuming them.

Which accounting software is taught?

Tally Prime, BUSY and SAP FICO.

Why three software packages instead of one?

Because employers do not all run the same one. A company using BUSY will not interview someone who only knows Tally, so covering three widens the range of jobs you can apply for.

Does it cover payroll and PF/ESI?

Yes, including payroll accounting, provident fund and ESI matters, and filing PF and ESI returns. This is one of the main things separating DFA from shorter courses.

Is twelve months necessary, or is there a shorter option?

The BAT course covers related ground with a six-month fast track, and the one-month Tally course makes you employable faster. DFA is the choice when you want the complete role rather than an entry point.

What certificate do I receive?

A diploma certificate from the institute, awarded after an online examination.
